We have a wide range of colours and finishes for untreated or impregnated wood.
Embadecor is a transparent product with active ingredients against discoloration and damage to the wood by wood-rotting and surface fungi. Embadecor also makes the wood weather-resistant and permanently beautiful. It does not peel, is UV stable, emphasizes the wood grain while being water-repellent. Embadecor is suitable for all types of wood and can also serve as an underlay for wood that is later treated with Embalan.
Embalan is an opaque, semi-gloss and water-dilutable paint. Embalan is highly elastic, moisture-regulating and water-repellent. It does not flake and fits around your wood like a second skin, providing years of protection. Embalan prevents crack formation when applied correctly. The colors of Embalan can be mixed with each other for a custom look.
We recommend you start with a base coat of primer or Embadecor before applying a covering coat of Embalan.
Impregnation fluid will inhibit the formation of damp spores and guard against fungi / mosses forming on your timber. This is only a rot proof treatment and does not guard against the weather. We would recommend using impregnation fluid on internal timber. We also offer high quality oil treatments for teak or hardwood timber. Designed for preventing the graying of your decking boards or garden furniture caused by UV damage from the sun.
Treating wood for outdoor structures such as log cabins, deckings, and fences is crucial for avoiding various potential dangers:
In summer, intense heat can cause wood to expand, leading to warping, cracking, and splitting.
During winter, freezing temperatures can cause contraction, exacerbating these issues and potentially compromising the structural integrity of the cabin or decking.
Wood treatment can effectively prevent wood-boring insects by creating a protective barrier that will prevent infestation . When wood is treated with insecticides or preservatives, it becomes less appealing to pests like wood-boring beetles. These treatments often contain chemicals that are toxic to insects, either killing them upon contact or preventing insect attack .
Wood treatment prevents wood rotting fungi by creating a barrier against moisture absorption and applying fungicides that inhibit fungal growth. This protection reduces the risk of fungal decay and wet rot.
If the solution is suitable for spraying, add it to a pump sprayer. Apply an even coat of treatment, working in small sections to ensure thorough coverage. Be sure to spray all exposed surfaces, including ends and tongue and groove joints. Allow the treatment to penetrate the wood for the recommended time before applying additional coats if necessary.
Using a paint brush, block brush or small fleece roller, apply an even coat to the wood surface. Work in manageable sections, ensuring thorough coverage on all exposed areas, including ends tongue and groove joints joints. Allow the treatment to penetrate the wood for the recommended duration, and apply additional coats if necessary for optimal protection.
