Traditional

This selection of garden log cabins are what to look for if you're aiming for a traditional garden space. Easily recognisable by their pyramid roof shape, these traditional corner buildings make for wonderful summerhouses and garden rooms. If you are looking for a smaller garden building, this selection has single door cabins available.

Modern

Designed for contemporary UK gardens, these modern corner log cabins add some much needed structure and flare to a minimalist space. This selection features cabins with a flat roof shape, and exclusively feature double doors and windows. Ideal as garden office spaces, modern garden rooms and more.

Luxury

If you are looking for a bigger centerpiece to your garden, then look no further than our selection of luxury corner log cabins. This type can be either a modern or traditional garden building, but with additional space and features, including gazebo space on one or both sides, or even an extra storage room.

Uses of Corner Log Cabins

The beauty of a log cabin lies in its versatility. There are countless ways to utilize your garden log cabin, transforming it into a space that enhances your lifestyle and complements your outdoor environment. For a corner log cabin, you can turn it into any of the following:

Garden Offices

This is a popular use for our log cabins as of late. With many of us choosing to work from home or engage with hybrid working, turning your garden buildings into a suitable garden office space provides a calm work area for a better work/life balance.

Summer Houses

Our corner log cabins fit in right at home as stylish and convenient summerhouse space. Due to their unique shape, the secluded corner space often sees more consistent sunlight. With their double doors and windows, it keeps the cabin warm more easily, allowing you to enjoy the summer sun more often.

Home Gym

A more convenient and comfortable space for you to achieve your fitness goals. We've seen many of our garden buildings converted into home gym spaces, providing a safer space for you to work out and exercise without the pressure of commitment from a commercial gym.

Entertainment Hub

For some of our luxury corner cabins, the extra space and functionality lend themselves very well as an entertainment hub for garden parties, game nights and much more. With additional gazebos attached to some models, you can add garden furniture, pool table and even a hot tub.

Common questions answered

Addressing common problems

We understand that potential issues can arise with any large purchase. Here are some common problems and how we can help you resolve them.

  • Corner log cabins in extreme weather: Like many of our log cabins, for highland and mountainous areas prone to more extreme weather, you will want to invest in a storm kit to make your cabin more resilient.

  • Corner log cabin not draining enough water: While it's convenient to store items behind your corner cabin, it is important to keep this space clear in order for water to drain properly.

  • Mold/rot/damage appearing at the back of the cabin: With the proximity of a corner summerhouse, the back of the cabin is more prone to mold, rot and other damage. We encourage cleaning and treating the back of your cabin more regularly should this happen.

  • My corner log cabin not getting built properly: The unique shape of the door frame can sometimes lead to corner log cabins not being built properly. We recommend extra time and care when constructing the cabin at this stage.

  • Wood being discoloured in specific places: This can sometimes occur as the sun exposure is uneven on a cabin of this shape/design. Using a UV-resistant treatment or stain is a good way to reduce this.

  • I don’t know what corner to use for my corner log cabin: A difficult decision to make that depends on the design you choose. We recommend looking at which corner of your garden receives the best balance of sunlight and shade, as well as which part of your outdoor space overlooks the best views.

Understanding common concerns

We know that investing in a log cabin can bring up some worries. Let us address and alleviate those fears to help you make the best decision.

  • Mismatching the angles of the garden and the design of the cabin: Providing your garden perimeter has right angles, or close to right angles, there should be no worry when it comes to fitting the perfect log cabin into your garden.

  • The height not obeying the building rules: A large selection of these cabins are 2.5m tall and below, making them fit within the rules of home installation without planning permission. For the larger ones, you will need to check with planning and rule prior to buying, as well as getting the necessary permission before you start building.

  • Blocking the view of neighbours/complaints from neighbours: The last thing you want is to cause any disturbance with neighbours and your local cohort. It is worth reading up on 'Right to Light' laws prior to making any final decision.

  • Can I clean everything properly? Due to the boundary space needed between it and the cabin, there should be sufficient room for you to clean outside the cabin without worry.

  • Higher temperature in corner log cabins: Because of their unique shape, proximity in the garden and plenty of single and double glazed windows, these timber cabins can take in more sunlight and get quite warm and humid in the summer. In this instance, it is important to ensure proper ventilation of the cabin, aided by the inclusion of a Log Cabin Air Vent where necessary.

Achieving your goals

We believe in helping you achieve your goals with our log cabins. Here are some common goals our customers aim for and how our cabins can help you reach them.

  • I want to create a garden pub/man cave: A popular choice for many of our customers. Corner log cabins make for a relaxing garden pub space, acting as a blank canvas to be converted into a traditional looking pub oozing with British charm.

  • I want to create an outdoor dining area: Instead of relying on just a gazebo space, the combined elements of our luxury corner cabins allows you to upgrade you outdoor dining experience. Lending well for garden parties and buffets, the gazebo space is perfect for seating whilst the corner summerhouse space is an enclosed space for food to be served.

  • Use it as a shed/storage space: With many cabins in this range boasting double doors, many customers opt to use them as a convenient storage solution, whether all year or just in the winter.

  • A hub for my hot tub/hot tub cover: The added gazebo space on some of our luxury corner log cabins add the style and sturdy functionality for a hot tub area.

  • Use it as a more eco-friendly growing room/vegetable garden: With its tendency to get warmer than most cabins, a corner cabin's environment benefits those wanting a unique space for growing plants and starting off a season of crops.

Debunking myths and misunderstandings

There are several misconceptions about corner log cabins. Let us clear up some common misunderstandings to help you make an informed decision.

  • Corner log cabins are the same thing as a shed: A very common misconception is that our cabins are classed as "glorified sheds". This is far from the truth. Our log cabins are built via interlocking logs instead of constructed by panels like sheds are, making for a sturdier and more permanent garden building.

  • It will look ugly outside the garden: An untreated garden building, such as one of our corner log cabins, may be seen as an eyesore if placed randomly into your garden. However, with treatment, structure to your plants and effective use of space, you can blend your cabin beautifully and seamlessly into your garden without worry.

  • A conservatory is the better option: It is pretty common to look at getting a conservatory extension to your house if you want a permanent garden room that will take in lots of sunlight. However, conservatories are considerably more expensive with more hoops to jump through to achieve. A corner log cabin is more versatile and can be built in any spot in your garden.
