Made from Spruce timber with a cladding thickness of 19mm our shepherd huts provide a strong and substantial building upon which you can base your project. Many customers go on to further customise these luxurious shepherds huts to suit their needs and taste with the addition of insulation, panelling, fitting and out and of course painting in modern or traditional colours.

Ideal for private or commercial glamping use, we offer a range of accessories, additional panels and stairs, you can also buy the Shepherd huts without the iron wheels if this is preferable.

Construction of your own Shepherds Hut

Our range of shepherds huts come delivered to you as a self assembly kit. However they do have a different construction process than our other garden buildings.

Materials

All of our shepherds huts are constructed using 19mm thick cladding panels. The use of panels allows for more customisation during your build. Being able to move the door and window panels with ease to suit your location.

Building process

Start with assembling the frame and joists if you have selected them at purchase. Ensure your base is as flat and level as possible to ensure a smooth installation. Follow the build instructions supplied with your shepherds hut and continue with the floor, before installing the wall panels and protecting the building with our high quality roof cladding and roofing material. For living or all year round use, use 35mm - 45mm Celotex (or similar) insulation in the walls and rockwool in the roof to create an office or accomodation. You can line it very cheaply with pine face plywood in the roof or 8mm pine cladding for the walls.

DELIVERY OF YOUR SHEPHERDS HUT

Our log cabins come in prepalletise kits and will arrive via an articulated vehicle with a demountable, self powered forklift to move the packages. Delivery will be curbside which usually means a driveway or a side path to your garden, you don’t have to be there for delivery. Please contact us if there are any limitations regarding size of your unloading area and access.

Once your delivery has been made, please check your cabin package to ensure all items have arrived securely and without damage.
