Contemporary pent roof 45mm double glazed Log Garage measuring 3.80 x 5.36m. Suitable for storing one vehicle, this garage features double doors, a single pedestrian door and two opening windows. The door and window wall can be placed either to the left or right of the building as required and is decided on installation.

Manufactured using slow grown Spruce, this timber is chosen for its tight, dense wood grain. All timber is specially selected for the interlocking construction and will not feature a mixture of timbers or finger jointing - all signs of a high quality building. Supplied as untreated logs, this garage will require treatment as soon as it has been installed. Tuin offers a great variety of treatment options including paints, stains and impregnation - all available to purchase as an accessory.

Pent Roofing Options:
We offer three different types of roofing for the pent log cabins.
EPDM ( Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer ) Rubber roofing which is the best option, Supplied in a single sheet with no natural overlaps ( weak spots ), We supply two types of adhesive with the rubber roofing, A spray glue for the majority of the surface area and also a tube for a fill gun for around the edges. A good extra to consider with the EPDM are the metal modern roofing trims although you can achieve the same result with timber versions instead. EPDM has a lifespan of 20+ years
Easy Roofing ( High Performance Polyester Base ) which is the second best option to consider, These arrive in rolls that are 5x1m a piece in sufficant volume for this log cabin. The Easy roofing is supplied with a self-adhesive backing meaning no extra glue is required. This roofing option like the EPDM can be finished off nicely with metal or timber roofing trims. Easy roofing has a life span of 15+ years
Felt Roofing Kit, Standard rolls of roofing felt like what you will have seen on sheds in most UK gardens. supplied with clout nails and felt glue for the overlaps. This option has the shortest lifespan of 2 - 3 years and will need replacing over time.

I enjoyed putting this together, apart from finishing the roof. The quality of the wood logs and roofing boards was great and overall it is, in my opinion, a quality product - it certainly provides an capacious one car garage with plenty of room for my Morgan, plus a bench, cupboards and a lot of other stuff. I would have put 5 stars but I found the 'pelmet' arrangement around the roof to be difficult to put up in a robust way - and I wish in fact I had omitted it - I don't think it adds any value. The EPDM roofing is excellent, but is a 6m by 4m single sheet (as expected) so is really just too heavy for a single person install. I think I might have preferred to used water based adhesive for the EPDM rather than contact adhesive too, as that would have made any adjustments to the EPDM easier. (I would still use the contact adhesive around the edges though). Nevertheless a happy customer.
Log cabin looks great and went together relatively easily with the right tools. Definitely worth reading and viewing the support materials before starting. Instructions could be clearer around fitting the facia boards and EPDM. Overall quality is good although double-glazing for the windows and door should be an option.
