This type of chestnut garden wood is very suitable for fencing your yard or pen for sheep, goats and dogs. French chestnut wood in rolls is denser, pointier and less jagged. English chestnut fences are cheaper but have less straight bars. Besides chestnut fences on a roll, we offer a large collection of chestnut posts. From peeled chestnut meadow posts to thick roundwood posts of three, four and five metres in length.

  • Chestnut post diameter 8-10, 10-12, 12-14 and 14-16 cm peeled: whimsical, rustic shape, untreated good for outdoor use and gives your fence a rural look;

  • Half-round Chestnut post diameter 10-12 cm Length 160 cm: 1 side flat, 1 side semi-circular, pointed and barked and untreated;

  • Chestnut post diameter 16-18 cm peeled Length 300 cm: extra-thick, tame chestnut post, pointed and bark-free.

Within chestnut posts, the 8-10 cm diameter and 160 cm length is the most commonly sold post. For chestnut fencing, the 90 and 100 cm height are the most commonly sold. Pay attention to the batten spacing and number of wires (two or three) this determines the price.

Would you rather not have round posts? If you prefer, you can also attach your chestnut fencing to square posts made of hardwood or impregnated wood.
