Deliveries
Due to the large range of products we sell, delivery times vary according to the type of product. Much of our smaller items deliver within 3 - 5 working days. Our larger products are within 7 - 21 working days. Please see the individual product pages for estimated delivery times.
ALL OF OUR DELIVERIES ARE CARRIED OUT BY EXTERNAL HAULIERS OR CARRIERS.
WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO DELIVER TO UK MAINLAND.
However, we can deliver to a port of your choosing within the mainland for you to then arrange further delivery from there.
Free Delivery Service of Buildings (Zone One)
Large items such as log cabins, saunas, verandas, and gazebos will be delivered using a substantial lorry, typically an articulated vehicle equipped with a self-powered forklift. This allows the driver to unload your order at a suitable location at the front of your property. It’s important to let us know in advance if there are any access or size restrictions so we can explore alternative arrangements if needed.
When placing an order, you can select your preferred delivery week, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it. If we cannot meet your request, we will inform you. Once the delivery week is confirmed and paid for, your details will be passed to the haulier, who will contact you to confirm the specific delivery day. This usually happens on the Thursday or Friday before your scheduled week. To ensure smooth communication, please provide a mobile number so the driver can call or text you on the day of delivery.
If there’s an issue with your order confirmation, please contact us immediately, as amendments are not possible later. If you need to delay delivery beyond the chosen week, a fee of £36 per week applies for the second and third weeks of the delay. Unfortunately, after three weeks, the order will be canceled automatically.
Payment is required at the time of ordering, and your order will only be processed once payment is received. If you need to reschedule or cancel your delivery within seven working days of your chosen week, an additional aborted delivery charge will apply. Canceling an order after payment has been made will also incur a £25 admin fee.
For customers outside Zone 1 (Zones 2, 3, 4, and 5), additional delivery charges may apply. These charges also apply to larger items in the London area. If you’re in one of these areas or further afield, please contact us before ordering. If you don’t, we’ll notify you of any additional fees after the order is placed. Delivery times to these areas may also be extended by 5–10 working days.
While we aim to meet stated delivery times, delays can occur due to circumstances beyond our control. We’ll keep you updated if there are any changes, but please note that delivery times are only guidelines. If timing is critical for your order, we recommend contacting us first to discuss your requirements.
For large items being delivered outside Zone 1, additional charges can be added through the Large Item Out of Zone 1 Deliveries option.
Timber Deliveries
At Tuin, we offer a delivery service for the garden timbers we sell, using the same external carriers as for our larger products. Depending on the size of your order, we’ll choose the most suitable delivery method. Smaller orders can often be sent with a cost-friendly courier, while larger or bulkier orders will require delivery by our larger hauliers—the same ones we use for log cabins.
Timber delivery can be tricky due to the length and weight of the pieces. If we had multiple depots across the UK, it would be easier to handle this with local drivers and flatbed trucks, but for now, everything is dispatched from our Norfolk depot.
So how do we deliver these sometimes awkward products? It all comes down to the weight of your order. For small orders, we use a budget-friendly courier service. However, for larger, heavier, or bulkier orders, we rely on our larger hauliers, who use articulated lorries equipped with Moffett forklifts. These are the same professionals who deliver our log cabins and other structures.
You don’t need to worry about calculating delivery options—our website does this for you! Simply add the items you’d like to your cart, enter your address, and it will provide the total delivered price.
If you prefer not to pay for delivery, you can use our Click and Collect option, which is available on all timber pages. Please note that delivery charges vary depending on your location and the delivery method, with different prices for each UK zone.
Unique Delivery Service
Unlike most log cabin suppliers who expect you to offload deliveries yourself, we do things differently. Our log cabins, saunas, verandas, shepherd huts, sheds, and gazebos are delivered using an articulated lorry with a demountable, self-powered forklift. This specialized forklift, fully taxed and licensed as a separate vehicle, can safely transport packages away from the main lorry.
The best part? You don’t need to be present, and there’s no need for you to handle the offloading yourself—we take care of it all!
Paid Delivery Service
For those needing more flexibility, we also offer a paid delivery service within Zone 1. This option allows you to choose a preferred delivery day and time that suits your schedule. It’s often faster and tailored to meet specific needs.
If the free delivery service doesn’t work for you, contact us for details. However, please note that requesting a precise delivery day for large items may cost £800 or more due to the logistics involved. Alternatively, you can arrange to collect your order directly from our depot in Norfolk.
