Waterproofs your hot tub
When using a wooden hot tub without a lining, you need to keep the unit full of water at all times in order to avoid leaks.
Sounds like an odd thing to say, we know.
Here's how it works without a liner.
Wood by it's very nature could be describe as very "thirsty". By that we mean it will constantly soak up water/moisture from its surroundings until all of the microscopic straws are full. When wood absorbs all this moisture it then swells, thus increasing in mass and size.
When it does this, the wooden planks of the hot tub squeeze super tightly together and form a waterproof tank for us to then enjoy.
That's all well and good if the hot tub is in constant use.
For many though we don't have that luxury of time, So instead of relaying on the timber to be "full". the lining we offer here is a more practical work around.
